Stunning Beaches and Natural Wonders

Lombok, with an area of approximately 5,435 km², is situated on the eastern side of Bali. The island is an integral part of the West Nusa Tenggara Province and is surrounded by several small islands that locals refer to as "Gili." The closest entry point is a 1 hour and 40 minute fast boat ride from Serangan Harbour, Sanur to Gili Gede.

What makes this island special is its unique blend of flora and fauna, similar to those found in Australia because Lombok is located on the border between Asia and Australia. In the western part of the island, you can find animals and plants that are typical to Australia, while the central part of the island is separated by Mount Rinjani.

The majority of the island's inhabitants come from the Sasak Tribe, with the majority being Muslim. This fact is an essential factor that influences Lombok's culture. The culture is also infused with Balinese Hinduism, which explains the abundance of temples on the island.

Lombok is home to stunning beaches and natural wonders, among them are waterfalls, caves, monkey forests and ocean rock pool. There are plenty of surf break throughout Lombok.
